Elder Patch!

Hey Ya'all! So as most of you know, from the rest of my fam's posts...my brother Patch left on Wed. January 21, 2008- For a 2 year LDS mission. We all packed into my moms Pilot and drove to Provo on Wednesday morning. We got to do a few fun things like doughnuts at Krispie Kremes, lunch at Applebees, before we went to the MTC. This was the 2nd time I have been to the MTC. though the 1st time was when I was 6 for my oldest brother-Ryan. It was the same thing. A dumb movie that only brings on the tears more, and a sad "goodbye." Patch was my closest brother, of course he had to be since he is only 13 months younger than I...So we've been through it all together. I'm gonna miss him tonzz, but its bittersweet- Caues I know he is serving the Lord, and the people of Riverside are going to be lucky to meet him! The only thing I pray most about is his safety!-oh, and that my mom will be okay!
Oh, and I must say..that I proved everyone wrong about how much I bawled. Even myself- Of course i was a bawl baby saying the 'goodbyes'- But that's it! Whoo hoo. I was even good the night before when he was set apart as an Elder..Whoo-hoo It must mean that the Lord is helping me be strong and get through this, because it is a challenge to have a brother gone for 2 WHOLE years! Ugh, hopefully time will go fast! I'll be checking my count down clock at the bottom of my page often. I think its down to 725 more days til Elder Patrick G. McBride returns with honor! The thing I'll miss most are our late night game nights! My Boggle partner is caput! But we played at least 10 rounds the night before he left. And since he had been set apart, he wouldn't let me watch TV- It was only Golden Girls (cant get much cleaner than that-right?-JK) So he put in Saturdays Warrior( I think it was to be funny- we're not losers:) And we just laughed the whole time! haha...good times and great memories!

---So I'm having trouble downloading the pics right now from that day...but I will try again later! Hope you are all doing well. And I hope winter goes by fast, I don't know about all of you- but I'm DONE...and its only January- YIKES!

Hey look- 2 post in 1 weekend! Whoo hoo. So I was just pondering a question. Hmmm, thats kinda an oxi moron isn't it. Anyways, How do you get more friends on this blogging thing. I just dont get it! There is no 'add a friend' button. And if there is, surely let me know. And when pages are private and only available to blog readers....how do I become a blog reader!? There is no option on that page. Please let me know, because I only have 4 friends and there are tonzz out there who I want to become blog friends with. Not that you 4 dont suffice (LOL)...but hey, the more the merrier right? So PLEASE let me know, its really bugging me!

Happy Holidays Everybody!

Hey guys! Long time no see. I'm gonna try and be better at this blogging thing...Since its the holidays I'll try and take more cute pics! I'm so excited that its the holiday season! Afterall its the 'most wonderful time of the year!' right? Okay....kinda cliche. LOL My favorite season is Christmas and hopefully we get a little snow soon. But after x-mas it can leave!

So a few things new in the last few months. Hmmm...Well I turned 20 on Nov. 8th. Can you beleive it? I know me neither..it sucks! Thats way too old. anywho, I got a new car. It wasn't planned, but when my 20 year old car wouldn't pass inspection on ANYTHING...it was enevitable. I LOVE it! I am now an employee at Old Navy as a holiday worker. I am still employed at Edith Bowen. Old Navy is a real fun place to work. My feet get tired but the music there rocks! I am loving my job at Edith Bowen lab. elementary school. I work we the cutest 2nd grader on the planet. He is autistic, and every day is a new challenge. This week we are working on not biting things, like my jewlery, name tags, buttons, haha the list goes on. Its a really tough job but I love it!

Well I guess thats about it for know. I promise I will try to keep this a little more up to date:) But this next week is finals week so who knows!

CarViN' pUmPKiNs!

October is one of my favorite months! I'm sad its over, but I'm so excited for the holiday season! YAY! I listened to Christmas music today, and am watch'n X-mas movies tonight! This past month I've carved pumpkins with some of my best friends, went to Lagoon, and hung out with the fam! It's been Pretty hectic lately. I have so much school work, I quit my awful job at Convergys the week my car wouldn't pass inspection on anything- UGH. I got a new job at Old Navy...a new car! Its so cute- an '01 Nissan Altima=WhItE! But along with that--a new loan. ugh, I feel like i'm neck up in debt. I'll have it under controll hopefully:)

So now, I am a full time USU student, I have 2 part time jobs. One at Edith Bowen Elementary as a special education/teachers assistant, and then of course Old Navy! To top it all off, my brother Patch got his mission call. I;m so proud of him but so sad all the same. And yes, I bawled! Yeash- my fam made fun of ole' blubber eyes:) I'm gonna have to get on anxiety medicine just too say goodbye.

Hi, My name is Cassandra McBride, but most of the time I go by Cassie. I am 19, dreading turning 20! That is sooooo old! I am trying out this blogging thing, mostly because my family wont get on Myspace! haha, so here I am. I just spent the summer as a nanny for 3 kids. What can I say---it was a learning experience. I love the kids dealry but I'm glad its over. I start my 2nd semester at USU tomorrow! Ahhh, I cant beleive it came so fast! Well, thats about it for now. I'll keep you posted on school, finding a job, and other stuff!
